- For the energetic Bunratty Castle and Folk Park are within walking distance as well as Craggaunowen to see how people lived 2000 years ago is nearby at Quin.

- Cliffs of Moher
- Thoor Ballylee where the poet Yeats lived
- 5000 year old Poulnabrone Dolmen, one of the most spectacular in Ireland

Thurs May 12 Galway to Achill Island
- Optional: Weather permitting we will have a chance to make the 2 hour ascent of Croagh Patrick as pilgrims have done since for hundreds of years
